لا تقول: Mohammed is beautiful
قل: Mohammed is handsome
نستخدم كلمة (beautiful) و(pretty) لوصف المرأة.
نستخدم كلمة( handsome) و(good-looking) لوصف الرجل..

الفرق بين( if) و( in case)
قل: I will come and see you if I pass through London
لا تقل:I will come and see you in case I pass through London
نستخدم (if) أذا كان الشئ مؤكد حصوله أو في لحظه وقوعه..
نقول: You should insure your home in case there is a fair
في هذه الحالة نحن لسنا متأكدين من حصول الحريق لذلك استخدمنا( in case )-

الفرق بين( shadow) و(shade):
لا تقل: That large tree makes a nice shadow
قل: That large tree makes a nice shade-

الفرق بين ( quite) و(quiet):
لا تقل: Be quite
قل: Be quiet
quiet تعني هادئ..
بينما quite تعنى الى حد ما
